Entrepreneurship, Wellness, and Style: October’s Dress-Up Discovery Workshop Recap

On October 19, Threads for Change hosted its monthly Dress-Up Discovery workshop, a gathering designed to inspire, educate, and empower young individuals through engaging, hands-on experiences. This October session welcomed over 30 eager participants, all ready to gain fresh insights from entrepreneurs, mental health experts, and fashion professionals.

This month's spotlight was on Isaiah Henderson, the remarkable 13-year-old founder of Iceys Infusion. As a young entrepreneur, Isaiah shared his journey from idea to execution, proving to his peers that age is no barrier to success. His authentic story encouraged attendees to pursue their dreams with confidence, offering a clear example of what young passion and dedication can achieve.

Dacyn Mofor, our 13-year-old fashion director at Don Morphy, delivered an engaging segment on tying a tie—a skill that is as practical as it is symbolic for young boys learning to present themselves with style and confidence. Dacyn’s hands-on demonstration was a crowd favorite, teaching an essential skill while reinforcing the importance of self-presentation in all walks of life.

Adding depth and perspective, Dr. Jay Barnett, a renowned mental health coach and international speaker, provided valuable insights into emotional well-being and resilience. Dr. Barnett spoke candidly about the role mental health plays in both personal and professional growth, inspiring young participants to value emotional self-care as they work toward their goals.

The workshop also featured a special presentation by Daniel Mofor, CEO of Don Morphy. Daniel gave a masterclass on the differentiation between suits and other formal attire, highlighting how different styles serve different occasions and personalities. His guidance helped attendees better understand how fashion choices can communicate individuality and confidence.

Together, these inspiring speakers created an enriching experience, blending entrepreneurial spirit, mental wellness, and style education to encourage our participants to reach for their highest potential.

Threads for Change is thrilled to see such enthusiastic participation and growth in our community each month, building confidence and shaping futures, one workshop at a time. We invite you to join us on this empowering journey—stay tuned for our next Dress-Up Discovery Workshop!
